There are 2 documents at the bottom of the "What's New" section on the front page. Scroll down to find them.
On the http://www.scouts.ca/dnn/ website are 2 documents.
The first is Scouts Canada's response to the World Health Organization's latest update. It is a one page memo which among other things states that if schools and other public gathering places in your geographical area are effectively shut down, in keeping with our Duty of Care to our members we will commence the following measures:
1) All camping and other outdoor Scouting activities will be postponed
2) All regular weekly meetings will be canceled."
Information will also be available on your local council websites.
More information can be found on the WHO’s web site at www.who.int or the Public Health
Agency of Canada at http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/index-eng.php or 1-800-454-8302.
The second document was written by Alberta Health Services and it provides guidelines for the prevention and management of H1N1 virus in camp settings. There is information on symptoms. It advises screening of participants before camp, suggests physical layouts for tents and cabins, hygiene etiquette, education and environmental cleaning.
It is very straight forward information which discusses practical ways to reduce the spread of the H1N1 virus.
